Head of School Welcome

Dear families,

I am delighted by your interest in Marin Horizon School. Since its founding in 1977, Marin Horizon has been providing a challenging and robust academic program combined with character-enhancing life skills. Marin Horizon is a place of creative, active learning built around our commitment to developing each student’s confident voice.

At Marin Horizon, you will see and hear a dynamic and motivated community of learners. You will observe students engaging in meaningful dialogues and debates. You will also observe an environment where experimentation is encouraged, and failure is appreciated as a stepping stone to success. You will also feel the commitment to embracing different backgrounds and ideas, to forming a sense of belonging for all students, and to empowering each student to find and use their voice.

Beyond our dynamic and challenging core academic program, you will find a comprehensive outdoor education program, a rich array of arts and music offerings, field trips, happy and engaged students, and a welcoming and down-to-earth parent community.

I invite you to visit our school, tour the campus, observe a classroom, and discover how your child will find their voice at Marin Horizon School.

I look forward to meeting you in person!
